Process Engineer of AGM Process Engineering

Helen is currently working with the HSE team on safety studies at BP Bulwer Island Refinery in Brisbane, Australia.

Work History

Helen joined AGM in early 2013, after spending 4 years working on modelling design for gas transmission pipelines, CSM production and saline water disposal projects. Helen has been primarily involved with steady-state and transient modelling of gas collection headers and export pipeline modelling calculations. She has experience in dispersion and energy release rates and radiation contour modelling, flare sizing, control and pressure safety valve calculations. Helen was recently involved with the management of engineering activities on CSM wellhead surface and associated water handling facilities in Queensland.

Helen is a skilled young process engineer who is able to produce work of a high standard. Having a very good understanding of process design work, Helen has been able to manage and coordinate engineering activities including development of P&IDs and C&E matrices, operating and commissioning procedures, CFTs, basis of design, HAZOP study reports, fluid flow modelling calculations on upstream CSM projects. Helen’s current role at BP’s Bulwer Island refinery is to update the HAZOP and LOPA safety studies and ensure they meet BP’s site technical practice criteria and requirements.
